Well I finally got both cases of 7.62x39. I know wolf ammo is not a favorite around here, but it was cheap. I am having problems with the empty cases hanging up in the barrell. It appears the case neck is expanding and will not let the bolt slide back.

Is there a way to fix the problem, or should I just live with it?

If you've got the lacquer coated cases, the cure may be as simple as putting a good cleaning on the chamber then giving it a few coats of silicone spray letting it dry between coats. Keeps the lacquer from sticking to the chamber which is usually what causes the hang ups.

Like markkw said...the FIRST step for any gun problem is to clean it well and completely.

Most steel cases have some kind of odd coating on them to retard rusting...not much, but it tends to build up in a chamber. Add in that some military type rounds have an asphalt like neck sealant, which also bulids up. Some corrosion, a bit of fouling, and the gunk can build up to extraction problems.

Now those sealnat and rust retarding coatins often just laugh at oils and most solvents...but a good shot of auotmotice brake cleaner and a brass bursh usually clears them out.

I totally agree with that, planned on adding it now but ribby beat me to it! (Thanks) If brake clean & bronze/brass brush don't get it, you can try M.E.K. but it's real nasty stuff and can damage bluing, stock finishes and so forth as well as the crud you want to remove, so due caution and care is advised...also extremely flamable and causes about 75,000 different medical problems from exposure, but it works!
