........very new. Here she is 30 minutes old born April 7th at 3:00 AM. A nice Morgan buckskin filly. It'll be awhile before I can fit her to a pack saddle and rifle scabbard.

If I put my head next to its butt you can see a a strong resemblence.
Must be a racehorse - all racehorses share an April birthday, no matter when ther'e born! :D
Congrats on the new addition. Always liked Morgans for riding.

This one has short ears. Her full brother from last year has considerably longer ears. Mule eared varmint was said more than once though the early stages. He's finally grown into his ears and they don't look so out of proportion. The dam of both was born in a blizzard in Wisconsin and the tips of her ears froze off. Looks kind of funny, like lion ears, you can see one in the picture.

My best "horse" never did grow into her ears. :D We go round a little but she's such a sweetheart. Not an ounce of mean in her at all. Kinda stubborn sometimes, but all I have to do is get out my "Festus spurs" and she lines right out. Don't even have to use them much. She's partial to packing elk out. We did 2 1/2 elk in one afternoon. At 16 hands and 1100 pounds she's a stayer.
Always was partial to good morgan blood tho. Beats 1/4 horses by a mile. Good luck with the little guy.

Congrats flashhole. I sure like horses.....come hunting season anyway! I'm fortunate that I have a couple of friends that have them and do all the work with them, but I get the benefit for that critical week of the year elk hunting. But, our non-horse crew usually buys a gun here and there for the horse crew for their trouble.
A good calm horse sure is a pleasure.

Flashhole,
She's a beauty, and I'm not foaling around when I say that! Congrats.
