I'm new to this forum. Does anyone shoot Encores?I have 2 Encore 15" Pistol Barrels : 30-06 with a Score High Gunsmithing Muzzle Brake which works great( http://www.probed2000.com )and a 454 casull with a TC Muzzle Tamer which doesn't work.Here's some sources for barrels: http://www.matchgrademachine.com ,http://www.foxridgeoutfitters.com click on Custom Shop , http://www.sskindustries.com , http://www.bullberry.com .

I will also add that Midway USA is an excellent source for Encore / Contender barrels. You can order any factory chambered barrel from them, and usually less than from the companies you listed. They do have some special order barrel options as well............and they are still cheaper than most of the places you mentioned.

Midsouth Reloading also offers factory chambered barrels for Encores/Contenders. But they have a smaller offereing than Midway, and no special orders.

I wanted a 454 casull rifle barrel but TC discontinued manufacturing them when they were unable to get satisfactory accuracy.I checked with several sources re barrel makers for encores and the recommendation was to contact Bullberry,my barrel is back in their shop getting rechambered to sw 460.Match Grade Machine spun out of Virgin Valley Guns,virgin valley had aluminum reinforcing in their stocks where it attached to the receivers so I bought a rifle stock from them.I like the lifetime warranty from TC .A friend was planning to trash his contender receiver until I informed him of the warranty and to send it back for a rebuild.
