Hi from New Zealand where I've just inherited a Rangematic Mk 5 1200 - unfortunately bereft of instruction book. If any-one knows how to calibrate it advice of such would be much appreciated. I notice it has the word "set" above the 1500 meters mark and a screw to the left of the eye piece that alters the split image.

I have a similar type of range finder and the way mine calibrates is you set your rangefinder to say 30 yards and look at an object at that distance and make sure that it is not a split image, if it is, turn the screw until it is not split

I used to have a Rangematic 1000 as I remember you found an object at say 100 yards or any know distance set the wheel so it said 100 yards or meters in your case or what ever the know distance is, then adjust the screw till you only have one focused image

Thanks - tried this but when set again at 50 metres didn't work
