Had no luck trying to download a picture for an avatar. File too big. How do I shrink it?

I took a picture using pretty low resolution then cropped it till it was the right size. May not sound very puter techy but hey it worked for me :D

you can email it to me and I can shrink it if you would like

I did the same as recoil junky...just take whatever pic you're gonna use, and shrink it's size in a picture altering program like photoshop, or by using the paint program in your pc. It's trail and error if you're not familiar with doing it. I could also do it for you if you can't get it on your own. Good luck, and we'll be watching for yours.

I don't mean to complain, but this site is probly the only site I visit that has a 50x50 pixel maximum avatar limit. I say it should be doubled to at least 100x100 or what the admins can do is make it that avatars have to be at another hosting site such as photobucket and that way no matter how large the pic file is it won't eat up any bandwidth here.

Yeah I made it 60x60 because I forgot the requirements were 50x50
