Hi there,
I have a Ruger #1 in .223 and am wandering if anyone has had experience with the Hicks accurizer for this rifle. I experience verticle stringing form time to time, even with loads that have previously punched tiny holes. So far, everthing is stock, no modifications to the rifle yet.
Thanks for any advice you all can give.

Try putting a business card shim under the foretip before buying any expensive aftermarket item. This always helped with the several #1's I've owned.

Also try making sure the forend is in the same place on the rest every shot. That will change POI also.

I have no experience with the Hicks accurizer, as I just drill and tap the forearm hanger for 1/4-20, and install a setscrew with locknut. Then you can run the screw against the barrel, and adjust it to eliminate stringing.
