I noticed that Brownells has a replacement hammer spring for my 1895 SS. I have stoned the hammer and sear and it feels much better but have a question about the replacement spring.
It states that the spring is for CAS, will it work correctly on my 1895 hunting rifle with loads between 1750-2100 fps?

It probably will. You may or may not see light strike problems in cold weather or with hard primers.

If you want a better trigger on your 1895, install a wild west trigger! The best thing I ever done to mine. This trigger is better than most you'll find on expensive bolt action rifles. they are simple to install and come with good instructions. Got mine from www.midwayusa.com

I forgot to mention the trigger pull was as advertised at 3 lbs and crisp. The trigger flop is also a thing of the past!
