Hey guys,

I'm cleaning out my reloading inventory and found a box of Sierra .4295" 250gr Silhouette FPJ (#8615) bullets that I need to load up and shoot. I normally load Speer 240gr, so I don't have a Sierra handbook. I also use Unique. Can anyone give me the published min/max loads for these two components?

Thanks.

Sorry Mike, but my Sierra Edition V doesn't have a listing for the #8615 .4295" 250 grain FPJ Match bullet using Unigue. It it only lists Unique for the lighter weight bullets. Sierra Ed. V only lists the following for your bullet (min/max):

AA-No. 7: 15.7/16.4
Viht N350: 11.8/12.9
Blue Dot: 14.7/16.5
Viht N105: 15.4/16.9
AA-No. 9: 18.0/19.4
Enforcer: 18.3/21.0
2400: 19.5/21.4
Viht N110: 17.5/18.8
Lil Gun: 18.7/23.3
H110: 22.0/24.4
296: 21.4/23.6
IMR-4227: 21.7/22.7
H4227: 22.5/25.6

Alliant has data for a 265 grain jacketed bullet with Unique on their website, 9.3 grains. I believe I would go with that for a max and start at about 8.

Thanks Gunslinger2005 and KenK. I'm not experienced at developing loads, so I'll probably just try one of the other powders listed in the Sierra manuel.
