I was reading something about this earlier. I found two other places making these big bore rifles, all with Forsythe rifling. That was what interested me. The articles stated that the barrels have narrow lands and wide, shallow grooves with 1:104 or 1:144 rate of twist. I was wondering about the specific groove depths and if the rate of twist varied depending on bore. Also I thought maybe the same might apply to a smaller .58 caliber rifle. Say 1:85 twist with .012 depth grooves instead of the normal .016 using a .562 dia. roundball instead of .570 dia. to make up for the .008 difference groove to groove. Just a thought. I am curious if this would be better or worse. Any input would be appreciated.
Anyway here's the links I was looking at including the Zepyr site. Hope it's helpfull.

Sorry, I forgot the muzzleloading emporium link messes up. Go to custom and production guns, then custom rifles. It's the English sporting rifle. A more traditional big bore choice. All these rifles are expensive I think.
