He thought he was gonna be sneaky and hide behind the hay bale in the background. Unfortunatly for him, the 308 laughs at hay bales.

My hunting partner shot a nice little buck last fall. New Savage 7mm Rem mag, 139 grain SST's, 3200 fps. Buck jumped just at the shot. Gutshot bad. Sure hated to see it come into camp.

Hauled it down to the carwash and hosed and hosed before taking it in for processing. Fella I have do our game processing sure hated to see it also.

My hunting buddy was just sick over it. He hasn't done that in years. He's a pretty careful hunter. Anyway even the best of intentions can get messed up at times.

Thats a nice rockchuck you blasted. I shoot a 243 for ground squirrels and yotes. 55 grain noslers at 3950 or so. Makes a blue haze on the ground squirrels out to a hundred and fifty yards or so.

I havn't been hunting for the big chucks for several years. Used to go down around Wieser ID for them every year.

I'll be looking for them. I just picked up a new Varmit rifle. CZ 527 varmit in 204 Ruger. Nice gun and seems accurate so far with both Hornedy 39 grainers and Sierra 40 grainers. I'm looking forward to spring squirrel hunting with it.

Ahhhh, So you are calling yourself MZ5 huh?
Well as you know the weather got in the way, during the wedding. So no pics.

Mz has himself a line on a 204, that IF he plays his cards right, I'll either flip for him, or take it myself. If I buy it, This spring I'm comming over for the Potlatch gun show.

Faucettb, we'll have to go do some groups.
