I can't see why Congress cannot see this one if a young lady can.

Her Solution:

Dig a Moat the length of our boarder, use the dirt to raise the Levlies in Lousisna, and fill the moat with the excess Florida Alligators. :p :p

Obviously she should run for Congress as she seems to be smarter than the ones we have in place.

Know this is going to sound "bad", but it does refelct the view point of many trying to rebuild South Louisiana:

To the cites that took in the Katrina Rrefugees that refuse to move back:

Keep what you got, send more Mexicans.

But fear not, our most "noble" mayor of Houston, Bill White, is doing his level best to provide for those refugees' pleasure and comfort ... at a nominal charge to the taxpayers, of course.

gringo-loco,

Amen to that! And what Houston's Mayor doesn't give them they steal well maybe not all of them.

And to keep this on a firearms topic. There is a gunshow in Houston at the George R. Brown. Anybody going and what are we all looking for? Me I'm still looking for XD45 mags and maybe some 223 bulk ammo.

Also opinions on the effective range of a .308? What are its long range abilities? What distance should I max out at the range beyond 100yds?

Will this get me by the moderator? Ha! Politics its all funny!

Greg

Right...I should not have injected the political comment....consider myself censured. The border situation is serious, too bad our elected officials seem to have missed the importance.

Use to go to one of the big Houston gun shows at least once a year; was worth the trip for the entertainment value alone. Believe the gun show term "rust farming" originated at one of the Houston shows.

ribbonstone,

Luckily I don't know what censured means, but regardless you are forgiven! I know that whenever someone is censured in politics it means they are about to make more money, right? So I hope that you are! Big book deal coming maybe?

I like discussing politics with people who know something, that's why we are all here and not in office. The truly enlightened people are out here doing what we all do, not talking about things. OK we all spend time talking , emailing, asking for forgiveness, making others unhappy with our comments that weren't meant to harm anybody but regardless we all go somewhere and make a living at something.

And you are right our Borders are in serious trouble but have been for as many years as I am old, ok let's say 50. It seems that the constituents know what needs done and how to get it done. Like everything else keep the government out and it can be fixed. That's the tough part eliminating the politicians.

Now my firearms related comment......I like Colt's but a buddy keeps buying Glocks and I might just have to buy 1. Oh dang!

Now down to our Texas Mexicans........ you can't have them!

Take your people back, ha! As Mayor Ray (Moses) Nagin said "let my people go!" And he led them into the wilderness with the treasures of Texas.....

God bless,
Greg
