If and when I buy ammo I get Federal. It seems to work well for store bought. You'll just have to 'speriment with it all and see which brand /bullet combo your's likes best. Gets kinda spendy, unless you're looking to start reloading.

Brax: Just a thought. You might want to see how it shoots before free-floating the barrel. I have the same rifle in .17 Rem, and it shoots pretty good with the standard stock/ fore-end support. --Mykal
Second the recommendation to hold up on the free floating until you see how it actuall shoots.

I have to put my .02 in here. I would go ahead and float the barrel before I ever start shooting. It might shoot good the first time out, but might change the next time out. Better to have it floated and you will know its nothing to do with pressure on your barrel.
If you are reloading I would try two different loads. One is 35.5 grains of IMR-4064 with a 55 grain Sierra Spitzer. The other load that shoots well is 38.0 grains of H380 with the same bullet. The Remingtons and Savages like the 4064 best. Thats what I have seen anyway. Those loads in the guns I have owned, and the guns my cousins own, all shoot 1/4" groups. All barrels are floated also. Triggers also lightened or replaced with a lighter trigger.
Factory loads I can't help you with. I reload everything.

Second the IMR-4064 recomendation. Mine really likes 55 gr Sierra Boat Tail Gamekings over 34.5 to 35.5 grain 4064. Nosler Ballistic tips are supremely accurate as well in most all rifles.
As for factory loads, I'd personally go with Remingtonk, Win, or Hornady because I like their brass. I load a lot of Federal brass as well and it is fine. It just seems a bit more brittle to me.

I can't say about factory loads as I never use them in my rifles. My favorite powder has been IMR4064 34.1grs. It gives me 3500fps. which isn't too hard on the barrel. I use Sierra and Berger 52gr. bullets. Both the Nosler 50 and 55gr. Balistiuc Tips are quite accurate in my rifle as well. Admittedly IMR4064 is a nuisance to meter through the powder dispenser, but the results are worth it. Just one mans opinion. Best wishes.

i want to reload them so they shoot at least 3850fps or faster and i want to shot 50 or 52 grain ballistic tips. what combinations would shoot the best and how good will it shoot. thanks.

My suggestion is to spend a couple of range sessions with the gun just as it came out of the box. You may be surprised at how well it will shoot. Keep the old adage in mind "don't fix it if it ain't broke".
I wouldn't worry so much about keeping a load at a certian velocity. Often loads that are a hundred fps slower than the top velocity are much more accurate.
Most of the time critters can't tell the difference between 3750 and 3850, but they can sure tell if you miss.
I shoot a Remington 26 inch bbl VLS in .243 with 55 grain noslers at around 3900-3950 fps across my chrono. This has been a very accurate load out of my gun. I mostly coyote hunt and chase squirrils in the spring. That little Nosler is pretty destructive on both.
Here is a pix of mine.

I have the same gun on layaway only in 221 Fireball. Keep us posted on your findings. I'm not a big fan of synthetic stocks and I plan to replace it with a thumbhole laminant stock.
Got the nikon buckmasters 6-18-40 scope and went and shot it. Shot it at 100yds it shot about an 1/2in groups. we still have to free float the barrel and we ought to shoot it again by friday.
