Hi Guys
I have a Rem model 81 autoloader in 300 sav. that I want to shoot cast bullets in. I 've tried 30-30 bullets and they are to thick tword the point. I'm thinking of the Bearthooth 135gr SP but it would make the OAL of the cartage to short, and I am worried about bullet jump. Will this make a differance? Also Bearthooth has a 180gr LMN that might work but OAL will still be a little short. By the way what dose LMN stand for? I git the N stands for nose but what is the rest.?

Thanks in advance.
Mjack

Mjack... never noticed that before, the "M". May be Long Medium Nose? I've used the 160-grain LFN bullets in my 300 Savage, a Model 99. I bought them for my Marlins and had them sized .311". My Savage has the tightest barrel I've ever seen. It slugs .307" so may be I should be shooting the min diameter offered... .309"

The link for LBT Abbreviations has been an endless loop back to the home page for years. It's never worked. I did find it on the BTB Snail Mail Order Form... a PDF.
