I am thinking about a 40S&W necked down to .30 caliber to shoot those Speer 85gr JHP's. Anybody done that? I am guessing it will give dang near .30 carbine speed but in a much handier package. Opinions are encouraged! Platform would be a 1911 or maybe a Browning HP (.40).
