A dutiful son visits his elderly father at the nursing home every Sunday for years. The nursing home is not much, but is is the best the son can afford.
One day the son gets a promotion and a raise and makes arrangements to have his father transfered to a much nicer and fancier place.
The next Sunday he calls the nursing home and informs them that he would like to visit his father out on the veranda in about an hour and asks that they bring his father out to greet him.
The nursing home tidys up the father and wheels him out to the veranda. For safety they chock the wheels of his chair and snug up his seat belt.
A few minutes later an orderly walks by and notices that the father is leaning way to the right and almost falling out of the chair. The orderly straightens the old man up and goes on his way.
Shortly after another orderly passes by and notices that the father is leaning way to the left. He straightens the old man up tidys his hair and tells him that his son will be to visit soon.
A few moments later the son arrives and notices that his father is leaning way forward with his chest on his knees. Immediatly an orderly appears and straightens the old man up to meet his son.
The son embraces his father and says "Hi dad, how do you like this new place". "It's pretty nice" the old man says, "but for some reason they won't let me fart".
