I did an interesting (to me anyway) experiment yesterday. I loaded the remainder of my 100 grain Speers yesterday and since my friends at Midway shorted me two bullets, I had two primed cases left over.
I loaded them with 2.5 grains of unique and a 115 grain .309 bullet. I shot them at a BIG target at 50 feet. I was surprised and pleased that they hit right to the point of aim and about an inch apart. The rifle is zeroed at 100 yards with the 100 grain bullet at 1500 fps.
The report was about like a .22LR, seems like it could be useful load.
