Hi guys was looking at the Taurus website and read that the Millennium Pro now has a significantly better trigger pull but there was no mention as to how many pounds. Can anyone comment on the new improved trigger, really like the feel of the Glock at around 6 pounds wondering if the Taurus is anything like the Glock. Would really like to pickup a Glock but just don't have the funds and will have to settle for something a little less expensive, so the search goes on. Thanks for your input!

Glock vs Taurus is like Apples vs Oranges. The Millennium Pro trigger system is a lot different than in the Glock.

After pulling out and dryfiring a Glock 17 and a Taurus PT745, I'd say the trigger pull is very similar in resistance, but the Taurus trigger, due to being truly DAO, is a longer pull.

So you would say it's has about the same weight in trigger pull? Don't know why it's not listed maybe I'll call. How would you rate it the trigger that is. Thanks

Yeah, feels like it's the same or pretty close to the same weight in trigger pull.
If I was to rate it on a scale of 1-10, I'd put it at about 7. I've felt better, but I've also felt much worse.

A little longer than Glock, not super slick but not gritty. Definitely a "plastic gun" feel to them. It is a bit shorter than my Taurus 945. I like the trigger in my Taurus 945 better. Its DA/SA, kind of long but smooth for the first shot, then nice and light and smooth following. Ruger's KP-89DC is the same action type as the 945, but the trigger is longer and heavier then the Taurus 945. Neither is as crisp though as any of my revolvers, Ruger or Smith.

Hopefully this puts it on some sort of continuum for you to gauge the Millenium Pro by comparison.

Thanks was just trying to figure out if it was worth a trip to my local gun dealer just to check one out. Although I usually buy wholesale through a frend with a FFL. Thanks!
