Does anyone know what scope is on the mossberg 100 ATR? I emailed mossberg and they told me it was in the catalog, but it doesn't say.

I'm not for sure, but on my friends 270 it looks like an inexpensive Simmons. He bought his a few months ago and I'm not sure he's sighted it in yet. It's not a bad looking gun and it got good reviews. I think he paid around 240 bucks for it a Wally world.

Sorry for the late post, but I just found this forum...
I have a 100ATR in .270 is has a "Mossberg" branded scope on it, so I went looking to find out who makes it and it is a TASCO model DWC39X40N

Welcome to the forum Smitty. My friend got to shoot his a couple of weeks ago. 2.5 inch groups and the trigger needs adjustment. His is also a 270 and it seemed ok for a deer gun. Plenty light and a nice feel. Don't know why he bought it he doesn't go hunting. I'm going to try to get him out this weekend.

The worst I got was about 1.5 to 2 inch groups, I'm now getting consistant groups of .75 to 1.25, but, it has taken at least 5 different kinds of ammo and lots of tweaking to get the scope to "set". I find mine shoots best using Federal 130 gr Nosler Ballistic tip (Federal P/N; P270F).
Who knows the next box of ammo might be lousy.....
