Hello to all:
I have a friend that has an older Sako 300 Win Mag (think it's 1960's vintage...serial no.19XXXX), that needs an "extractor plunger". This is a component part that is part of the extractor/spring assembly on the bolt. We have searched the typical part places (Brownells, Numrich, etc) with no luck.
Know of anyone that might carry these old Sako parts?
Best to all,
Dan
Think I'd try a Google search on Sako to find a dealer/distributor/factory rep and see if they might be able to help me.
Brownell's or Numerich should have what you need.
Or call Becky at Jack First Gun Shop in Rapid. 605-343-8481

Hmmm... an 'extractor plunger'....
Maybe some Sako experts here will know more than I do, but, on the L series Sakos I own, there is an extractor, which is a flat plate. The extractor rides in a slot on the front of the right bolt lug. And there is an extractor spring.
I have no idea what an 'extractor plunger' is, on a Sako L series.
Might you be looking for an extractor?

Does anyone know if there is a steel bottom metal made for the Finnbear?
Thank you-

Hey Dan do you remember who you talked to?. I called them for a extractor spring for a L579 Forester and they told me they had nada for old SAKO's. Maybe there is still hope.
