I am sure you will be happy with your glock. I have the model 35, very accurate. M35 is the tactical length version of the model 22. Accepts the same magazines & everything. Most people like to 'plug' the hole behing the magazine well. There is a simple plastic plug that does nicely. There is also a metal 'slug plug' that adds weight to the gun, to help dampen recoil. That is what I have. The safety block is also popular, goes behind the trigger as an added precaution of the trigger hanging on something and accidentaly misfiring, very unlikely, but I like safety block anyway. It pops right out when you need it to. I also have replaced the recoil rod/spring with a stainless steel rod & spring. Its more rigid and adds a little more weight also. You can adjust trigger pull with drop in parts that are quite inexpensive. There are 3.5lb, 5lb, 8lb options. Mine came standard with the 3.5lb. There are also 22LR conversion kits for cheaper trips to the range. They slide right on & off. I have not bought one yet, but I plan to. The best glock accessory website I have found is www.topglock.com They have just about everything, factory parts, add ons. You name it. The glock is a great gun without trickin' it out. But many of us can't help it. Good luck and happy shooting.

The first thing I do to any of my Glocks is an extended slide release. My chubby lil'fingers cant seem to find the factory one very well! As Athelas said, the plug for the funny little hole is a good idea also, I think they go for about $4-5 dollars.
