Hi All,

I have to choose between two famous gunsmith to build me a custom handgun probably a .475 Max.

First : John Linebaugh (I have one .500 Max bluilt by him) delevery time 2 years great work!!!

Second : Dave Clements I have seen some of his works and fire some of his custom guns delivery time less than 1 year

I know the FA's quality i own 2 FA.

Price is a little bit lower for Dave.

After seen that http://imageevent.com/fiveshooter/clements I think Dave is top gunsmith as John L. And my gun will have same options that this gun.

What will be you choice?

Thanks.

Both guys do a good job. You might look at some of the work Bowen is doing also, his outfit makes some nice guns. I don't know what his turn around time is.

Bowen don't want to work on .357 Ruger Max frame anymore. That's sad.

John Linebaugh is a friend of mine and I have handled his guns. All of his work is top notch, I don't think you can do better. I have talked with David Clements on the phone alot and he is very helpfull. I have a 500 Linebaugh from David Clements and it is just about as good as it gets. To me the big question is 1yr vs 2yrs compaired to a "Linebaugh" gun. Is the name worth a year? Tough question. The work of both are as good as it gets.
