I am thinking of having my 24" Cowboy limited cut down to 16.5" has anyone else had this idea and did you do it or not? If anyone has pics of a "Trapper" 1894CB please send them as I am having a hard time picturing this shorty octagon barrel.
Thanks in advance, Joe

Never heard of a 1894 Cowboy Trapper. I sure would not want to cut onto that rifle. Sell that one, or trade it for the 1894CS which has a 18.5 inch barrel. Why do you want yours shorter? And why that much shorter?

I want to shorten the rifle as I hunt in thick cover for feral hogs. I would sell if I could get 1894P.

If I had the money I mught make you an offer there Joe, but I have no spare cash at the moment. I hate seeing a good cowboy rifle cut down.

Thanks for all the insight,
Joe
