Hey all. This is my first time posting, so I don't know if this has been discussed here before. I have a win. m94 30-30. I really like this rifle but would like to lighten the trigger pull. I've seen the hammer spring offered by wolf springs and would like to know if it is worth getting? Also I would like to polish the sear surface on the hammer myself. Is this something I should tackle myself? I'm not afraid to try it, just want to know if it takes special tools/ knowledge. I'm a mechanic by trade and am pretty confident in most things that I try to tackle. Any help or info is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Also interested in Hornadys new ammo, any opinions?

Welcome Wrenchbender,
Some crocus cloth can polish trigger/sear pretty nice. Just don't remove any metal or change angles. It is like accelerated break-in.Guns seem to get smoother with use.

I think the Hornaday ammo is pretty inovative. I can't see where the 30-30 really needed much improving though. It is a fine cartridge as it is.

Thanks Cheesywan. I think I'll try the crocus cloth to polish sear surface. Still wondering if the Wolf spring is worth getting? I to think the 30-30 is a well balanced cartridge and normally shoot winchester 150 pp. Just curious about the Hornadys.
