Bought the frame stock and forend for a TC Encore Pro Hunter ML the other day . My dealer doesn't have the barrel yet .
He has a guy in MN I believe he sends the actions to for trigger work. The guy does a nice job to !

I've owned a couple Contenders in the past , but this will be my first Encore .

I also plan on getting the Pro Hunter 12 gauge Slug Barrel as well .

If they shoot well I expect I'll have to have the 45 ML barrel and a 20 gauge Pro Hunter Slug Barrel.

At the moment I have a pair of Knight Disc Rifles 45 and 50 that I ML hunt with . If this thing shoots as well they will most likely be retired .
And as far as slug guns go , I have a Savage 210 for 12 gauge and a new H&R Ultra Slug Deluxe for the 20 gauge . If the slug barrel shoots well these two will also get retired .

But time will tell I suppose !

I am shooting the Encore Pro-hunter 50 Cal, 3-9x40 Omega Muzzleloading Rifle scope Silver BDC-250 and TC 250 Gr. Bonded Shock Wave sabots over 120 gr. of loose triple 7 and Remington Kleen bore M/L primers. I got the gun sighted in very quick after I bore sighted it and started shooting sub-MOA groups at 100 yards. I did a final 3 shot group at 100 yards and all three bullet holes were touching. I put a 4 inch clay target out at 200 yards to see how close I could come with the new set up. My buddy was watching through my spotting scope and when I shot he said, you blew it up. I hit the 4 inch clay target at 200 yards. Then I shot several more at 200 yards and could not be happier with this set up.

As far as loading, I did a 9 shot string without cleaning or swabbing the barrel and did not have a problem loading the sabots in the gun. It was a little tighter than a clean barrel, but still I was able to load it with little effort. I shot a total of 30 rounds through the gun today. I wish my Browning slug gun would of shot this well today..

I can say that the trajectory compensating reticle works as advertised.

RH , I've been shooting the Hornady SST's in both the 45 and 50 , which are the same as the TC Shockwave . Also like you I have been loading 120 grains Triple 7 FFF .

I doubt if it will be any better then my two Knights however I thought it looked kinda neat when I first saw it .
The dealer I bought it from is an Encore nut , he told me with a little effort he would be willing to bet it would put 3 in an inch at 100 yards .
I kinda believe him as I saw him do that with his Encore a couple years ago . Saw him quite a few times shoot three shot groups at 100 that were in one ragged hole . Personally if I can get three in 1.5" I'll be satisfied . My two Knights will do that and a little better .

With my Knights I usually shoot one or two foulers then check sights by shooting three .
Then if everything is good I clean shoot a fouler or two and load it to hunt .

My friend cleans between every shot . I do not want to have to do that with a hunting gun.

You shooting an A Bolt Slug Gun ? I had one of those that like a fool I let go a few years ago . Mine was full rifled Stalker . Killed 4 or 5 deer with it .

No, it is a semi-auto slug gun. It shoots good but not consistent.

I doubt if my groups were over 1 inch with my set up with the Encore. I had 2 different 50 Cal Knight disk M/L's and neither one would shoot as well as my Encores.

Best group I ever got with the Disc was about .75" , but only once usually they will do an inch and a quarter .
