This new 1894CB Limited I've bought is the first Marlin 1894 I've owned. I have lots of experience with the 1895GG and have tested high power loads using Marshal's 525gr. Pile Drivers. I guess I was hoping to be able to load some good stout .45 Colt rounds for the 1894 but have been told the action isn't as heavy duty as that of the 1895. Perhaps you guys can enlighten me since I'm new to the 1894 and what it is capable of. Thanks.

I've been shooting the typical Ruger-level (30,000CUP) .45 Colt loads in my 1894.

Problem is... it kills on both ends! I think you will most likely give out before the gun does.

300gr. bullets at 1700fps generate serious recoil in that small gun! 24" barrel on mine by the way....
