A friend of mine in Illinois is having trouble getting a FOID card. She applied over a year ago so she could legally possess her grandfather's collection. They've not sent her one. When she calls, they say they'll give her a call back with information and never call back.

So, what more can she do to get them to stop being jerks?

I am not sure if this is an option but move out of IL

Get the name of the individual she is talking to, then once a week call and ask to speak to that individual, and politely ask how her application is comming along. After about trhee or four weeks ask if talking to his/her supervisor would be of any help to him/her.

Oh, and a secondary question. Should Illinois decide not to give her, or her sister a FOID card, is it possible for an individual to sell a gun to an FFL without a FOID card?
