Hello all, I'm new to this site. I replied to a post on 307s and have some questions to ask of some of you who may have knowledge. First, why do I see guys claiming the 375 to be the rarest of the Big Bores? Preliminary research indicates to me that the first Big Bores were introduced in `79 and were 375s, so they were made for four to five years before the 307s came out. All were discontinued by 1988, correct, or no? Does anybody know where production numbers can be found? So far the only Big Bores I've seen on broker.com have been 375s. Finally, my rifle has a somewhat heavy barrel, .712" at the muzzle, just over 8 lbs scoped. I've never seen another 20" barrelled 94 like that, with the exception (perhaps) of some of the octagon barrelled commemeratives. Someone want to weigh in on that? I'm not complaining, it seems to help accuracy, but its a lot to pack compared to a standard 30-30.

The Angle eject .375's were only made in a very short run. There are quite a few of the top eject .375's around.
My top eject .375 has a barrel diameter of .590" at the muzzle.
