I heard that this gun was legal and available to own here in the states whereas before, I had heard it was not. I was curious if anyone knew whether it was or not.

I know the ammo would cost a fortune and it's rather specialized, but if I got the money together and it was legal, I would love to own one.

Anyone know what the current law is on that particular piece.

I can't speak for your local jurisdiction, but there are no restrictions against it here in Missouri. I suspect things you've heard are simply uninformed hype over the fact that it is intended to penetrate body armor.

Yeah, I did some research and found that it became available in 2004. i think the information I had previously was not up to date and therefore wrong for the present. I saw the whole brady video on why it should be illegal (got a mild laugh out of it) A friend of mine told me he shot one and it was amazing.

they have been on the shelf here for a while. Expensive and so it the ammo. The really good stuff (ammo) is LEO or military only and not available to regular people.
