A year ago my wifes uncle passed away. All of his hunting stuff has been distributed. I received a box full of parts that at one time made up a Colt Challenger. I am a rifle man myself, never have owned a hand gun. From what I can tell I may be missing a recoil spring and a couple of other parts.

Could someone point me in the right direction as far as getting a schematic on this gun? I am also interested in knowing if it is actually worth putting back together. It was something he had since the 1950's. Just for the sentimental value it might be nice to rebuild it.

I checked for past threads on the forum for Colt Challenger and did not find anything. Was the Challenger a decent hand gun? Are they very accurate?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

here is the schematic

From www.e-gunparts.com

you could probably get the parts there (http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp?chrMasterModel=0660zCHALLENGER) or call Colt and ask them about parts.
