Finally got my hands on a Bersa Thunder tonight. Its solid blued and I wanted the duo-tone, but after about a 2 month wait to be able to get one at the price i got it for, i guess i shouldn't complain.
this is going to be used as concealed carry gun as soon as i can get my license.
do you guys have any suggestions for holsters? i was looking at a SUPER BELT SLIDE HOLSTER. they seem pretty nice.

Oh geez. I forgot what it was like to need a license to carry (not that I ever got one, as it is a direct infringement to keep and BARE arms).
Man do I love Alaska!

hmm..got to shoot it tonight. i'm kind of put off by it. i'm using to shooting a 9mm Taurus PT99. the bersa has a lot more recoil. i guess thats because its a smaller and lighter gun?
also seems to shoot low. could be me too. it does have adjustable sights so i guess i can play around.
the safety latch/lever is a major pain in the ***. its very stiff i guess, takes a lot of force to move it from safe to fire. when the mag is in, its twice as difficult. this would not be good in a situation where i need to shoot quick...
the after you shoot a few shots, the mag seems to be a bit loose also.

I use a Don Hume open top holster that fits in the small of my back. It has worked out well for me and Don Hume makes fine holsters.

i guess i was wrong about the adjustable sights or maybe its only left and right adjustment?
anyway, shot another box of ammo today and definitely felt better about it. guess i just needed some more practice and time to break it in.
i should have bought more than 2 boxes...guess i'll be running to walmart tomorrow. anyone know what a box of .380 ammo costs at walmart?

Like 10 bucks? Maybe less. I bought some stuff for as low as 7.99 a box at Sportsman's Warehouse. I think it was reloaded Federal ammo....

Its a great little gun. My wife has one in the duo tone and loves it. She has put about 1500 rounds through it, she has owned it about a year.
I also enjoy shooting it.

The bersa is a great little gun but it requires a break in period. I had some FTE's within the 1st 100 or so rounds but since then it's been doing fine using mostly Winchester White box and some CCI's.It feeds hollow points just fine also. I've put about 700 or 800 rounds through it now with no problems.
Mine is as accurate as I can expect from a small gun. In fact it's about as accurate as I am.
The safety is stiff at 1st but some good gun oil or grease will help. You just have to work it on and off until it loosens up.
I've never had any problems with the magazine, in fact I bought a Mag Tech (I think that's the name, or something like that) magazine as a 2nd magazine. Many people don't like them but mine works fine.
Go to www.bersatalk.com for more info from Bersa fans.
:D Don't worry, you did good! Just keep playing with it and work out all the bugs before you bet your life on it.
