Well my buddy that lives next door brought over his new 7mm STW along with a New Timney trigger. I'd already adjusted the Rem factory trigger, but for some reason it still had a little creep. I see that more in the stainless triggers than the blue ones for some reason.
Anyway you have to re-use the factory safety and trigger retaining pins along with the factory magazine release and springs and saftey detent ball.
You know it's been a while since I've taken a Remington trigger apart and I didn't realize how many small pieces were on the outside of the trigger. After I had everything dissembled I pulled out one of my 700s to aid in putting it all back togather correctly.
Timney includes two small pins in the new trigger that hold the works togather and that you drive out when you re-install the factory pins. It still takes two pair of hands lining up everything and tapping the pins in.
He ended up with a 3 pound trigger that breaks as sweet as ice. He's over at his house loading up some 150 grain boat tails right now and is going to the range this evening when it cools down again.
I'll let you guys know how the factory ported 7mm STW shoots later on.
