I'm looking for some "slow" loads for CAS events for my .42-60 CF (which, um, uses .444 Marlin brass and bullets).  I think I'd get good case volume with XMR5744, but I'd like to hear some suggestions for data.

    Accurate's manual shows a max load of 36 gr with a 240 lead bullet with a velocity of 2051, they show 35.5 gr with a Hornady 265 gr for 1923 fps.
   I realize these are hotter than what you probably want, but you can back off quite a bit and still get good results I think.
     I have used 5744 in 30-30, 308, 30-06 and 44 mag with some very reduced loads and cast bullets. I was able to get very decent velocity spreads and superb accuracy from it. It burns a little dirty at the lower pressures but that didn't bother my results any! Good luck,   IDShooter
