I lost my local supplier of soft cast bullets for my 44 mag. I need an inexpensive soft lead cast bullet for plinking and practice. I live in SouthCarolina and would drive a ways to pick some up. I don't know any Cowboy shooters. Never understood you guys dislike for Cowboys anyhow.

Yeah Chief,
I never could understand why they shot all those cowboys any way!
As for bullets, you might try the Hornady lead bullets. They are swaged, not cast, so they are pretty soft. The lube seems to be a dip-type and is pretty messy in the sizing die, but otherwise they were OK. I did have to keep velocities quite low to preserve accuracy, but that sounds like what you are looking for? IDShooter

Chief,
* * * *I think there is a big shoot just north of Atlanta around may 24 - 26 go to www.sassnet.com
and click on GA and look for info for Mule camp. I don't know if they will be selling soft lead bullets I hope they are selling Hard Cast so I don't have to have more shipped. Shipping costs for bullets have been killing me..................................Marko
Also maybe some powder without the hazmat charge http://www.mulecamp.com/

*Hornady's new swaged lead 240SWC is part antimony and has a new lube that is not sticky.
