Good Morning

I just joined this forum this morning. Recently I inherited a couple .22 target pistols and would like to know the best way of selling them. I will not use them and I know there are folks out there who would. If nothing else, their appreciation for these pistols will most certainly out-strip my own. I normally shoot .45 auto, so .22 is not my pistol of choice.

One of the pistols is a 1923 Woodsman. The other is a WWII era High Standard with a 4" bull barrel. Both pistols are in pretty good shape. If interested I'll post some pics. The last time these pistols were fired was in 1963 and they were cleaned and put away until now.

Thanks.

Joe

Welcome, Sweb!

There are several internet auction sites where you could sell your pistols. GunBroker.com is probably the largest and most well known. I'd suggest going there first of all, and do a "smart search" of "completed auctions". That will let you know what guns like your have sold for in the past. If you want to sell yours, you'll need some low resolution digital photos for your listing, but it's easy to upload on GunBroker. Good luck!

Both of those, if in the condition indicated, have significant collector value. I would contact one of the auction houses, such as Old Town Station, about probable value before doing anything.

Thanks for the tips. I'll chase them both down.

I'll take them both off your hands for $40 if you toss in some ammo ;)

Ah, heck, would you do the deal for $30 if I threw in a Midway gift certificate? I don't like shipping ammo:)

Heck, I'll give you $30 just for the Woodsman.
