View Full Version : New Bolt?

I have Marlin 781 and it like to jam on me. I figuered out why; the part of the bolt designed to catch the bullet and shove it in the chamber is bent. Occassionally, this bent section misses the case's rim and ends up jamming the round against the barrel, which bends the bolt even more. Is there any way to get a new bolt?

I'd give you a picture, but I can't find my camera.

Both phone numbers on the web site do not work.

Instead of replacing the entire bolt, you could find the exact part of the bolt and just replace it...

I would have a gunsmith do the replacing work but that could be a cheaper option than going to Marlin and replacing the whole bolt or whatever parts they sell.

I still think I'd send it to Marlin, there pretty good at fixing their guns.

Your right Marlin doesn't have an email.

Here's all the info I have. If you can't get them by phone drop them a line thru the mail, give them your email address, they might get back to you that way.
