Hi guy yestetday I picked up my new kit: Steyr Pro-Hunter Mountian M11 .222 with T8AR Moderator and my new to me Beretta 391 semi-auto.
Problem: The moderator supplier sent the wrong Moderator shim that fits up the barrel of the gun (reflex style). My dealer is going to contact them today to see if there is a better size but if not I will have to look at getting it machined.
It is important to get a good even fit for both safety and noise reduction reasons.
It is of a plastic nature, not a lot to grip for a chuck, and needs the internal hole slightly opened very slightly.
Is this possible for a skilled lathe worker to do?
Is there any thing to look out for??
Regards
