I'm looking for a new 22 lever gun. Anyone have any good suggestions. I'm thinking of either a Henry or a Marlin. This will be my first venture into the lever guns. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Marlin has been around a long time and make a fine lever gun. On the othr hand, Henry also makes a nice lever gun. Action is a smooth as silk and is more accurate than my Marlin. You can't go wrong with either one, but would go with the Henry if it was me. Its less expensive and loads of fun to shoot.

What about the front sight on the Henry's? I've been doing some looking around in other sections of this forum and have seen many people complain about it.

The front sight leaves something to be desired, at least in my opinion. This is a fairly cheap solution and it suits my needs quite nicely. I' ve got the Henry lever in 22 Mag and it would be hard to get it away from me.

Williams shorty ramp and 1/16 bead ALL STEEL( except for brass bead that is)

Get the H001T and no more issues with the front sight. That one is steel.
