if Steve Irwin had been wearing sun tan lotion he would still be alive....------ it protects against harmful rays.

Crikey! Me too, Mytie. Surprised he lasted as long as he did. Some "expert" on Fox News claimed there was a one in a BILLION chance of that happening. Just a matter of time for that dude.

After seeing the stunt he pulled with his one month old child next to the alligator, I found it hard to feel sorry for the jerk. I've got kids, and they're not for entertainment. As far as I'm concerned he can go to he!!. (If anyone really wants my opinion on that jerk I'd be happy to send a PM.)

There, I feel better now.

That joke was tacky, and not too funny! I am no fn of hime either, and he was no friend of guns or hunters, and I will agree that if you play with a bull, you get the horns, but that is uncalled for.

I personally feel for the kids.

It may have been tacky, but I giggled all evening. If the guy cared more about his kids maybe he would've chosen a safer way to make a living. Anyway, like ol' Blue Eyes, he did it his way. He had his days in the sun. You make your choices and take your chances.

Don't know that there's anything wrong with the kid and aligator thing. Yesterday, like she has for the last year (or since she's been walking,) my 2 1/2 year old walked up and fed my bull a bunch of maple leaves. When the kid grows up around animals, it doesn't hold the fear and awe inspired in other kids. To the one year old, Daddy was letting her play with her pet. Same as my daughter this afternoon.

My kids were raised around guns, lots of guns! Some Liberal types really have an issue with people like me. My daughter Teresa has 3 pistols and two rifles of her own, my son Joseph has many of his also, and also loves to reload. The point I'm trying to make is that Steve Irwin wasn't my hero, but also I don't think his child was ever in any real danger, at least no more than any child would be in while traveling to Wal-Mart in a motor vehicle. My grand daughter Jane was in an auto accident when she was 3 weeks old and by the grace of god and a good child safety seat she was spared any serious injuries, she's now 6 years old and just beautiful !
