What is the best way to clean used hulls?

Polishing shotshells in a tumbler or vibrator doesn't clean the plastic, so I gave up on that. Now I just wipe anything off the outside, take a look at the inside and give the shell a rap on the table to knock out any small stuff. If there is any corrosion on the brass, toss them in the garbage.

SDhotshells are just too easy to aquire, If they look "nasty" I chuck them. I personally don't ever clean them other than as above,, bang them on the bench to knock out the spiders etc.

Grew up using paper shells...then plastic with paper base wads. Never did do anyting other than get the crud off the outside with a rag and make sure no pebbles or other loose stuff was inside.
I miss paper....may just have to order some of the federals while they still exist. NO...they don't work better...but the fired cases have a smell on a cool fall day that's worth it.

Give me a whiff of the paper shotgun shells, Hoppes #9, or a wet beagle and I'm 16 years old again! :)

Once threw a batch of AA's into washing machine when wife was not home. Used gentle cycle - sounded like the troops were marching threw the house, but they came out clean. Spread on picnik table in back yard and let dry in sun. They dry faster with out primers. Much nicer when loading my hands did not get as dirty handling them and finished loads looked better. Tom
