I have a 22 mag american and I'm looking for a heavier barrel for it. I know CZ has a varmint model but I just want a new, heavier barrel because I've done too much on the stock already. Is this even possible?? If so does anyone here know where I can find a heavier barrel? Would the Varmint barrel fit the American setup? Have anyone here tried a CZ/Volquartsen barrel combination?
Any suggestions please.

The stock CZ barrels are usually so accurate that replacement usually does not come up. You can have a gunsmith replace the barrel, it's screwed in I believe just like most centerfire barrels so a new barrel can be threaded and turned to your dimensions.
I would expect it to cost as much as any custom barrel, from two to four times what a new CZ varmit heavy bbl. would cost you. You can do about anything if you throw enough money at it.
Rex were you the fella that put a new stock on that nice 452?
My suggestion cost wise would be to get a new 453 Varmit (the one with the beautiful single set trigger cause I know you'd love it) and put one of Richards Micro-fit stocks of your choice on it. Total cost would probably be quite a bit less than a rebarrel job.
Here's a fella that seems to always have pretty good selection of CZ's back in your area.

Rebarreling would be pretty inexpensive if it took the barrel system such as Ruger has, unscrew a couple of set screws, pull out a barrel and slip in another, put th set screws back in. Unfortunatly setting up a screwed in barrel is as time consuming as any centerfire.
Remove old barrel with barrel vice and wrench
Turn, taper, thread, cut extractor groove, install, chamber and headspace new barrel.
