Hello!
I apologize if this question has been beat to death. Can someone give me some direction on how I can mount a low power scope on my 94? It's a mid-70's I believe, top eject. Any brand scope, mounts, etc would be appreciated!
fyi - two of my uncles have Bushnell Phantom Pistol scopes mounted but they are no longer made and somewhat hard to come by. I'm hoping there are mounts available that don't require drilling/tapping holes.
Thanks for your help!!

Here is a link for a base and ring combo to fit your rifle.

I donj't know what power scope you want. Fixed or variable. Here is a Bushnell Banner 3-9 that would do good on that rifle. Look on Midway anwhere for scopes. They have a little but of everything.

Welcome to the forum Gthunda. Rules are simple, be nice and join in. Best I can say is use one of the scout type mounts that attach to the barrel and the front sight slot.
Burris and Leapold both make scopes designed for that kind of use.
Mounting a standard scope low on on a older 94 usually always runs into problems with cases ejecting and hitting the scope. Unlike the Marlin's with side ejection this usually doesn't work.

ps - Gismo, I'm interested in something low on power...1. 3x to 2x. I've used scopes but never owned one or purchased one so I'll have to research it more. Basically my eyes aren't what they use to be and I hunt in thick cover...I just want slight magnification to help in the brush.

Thanks Gis! I checked out that mount. Have you used one or seen how they attach? I'll contact the company, just thought I'd check here first.
Thanks again, great info!

There are two pre drilled holes in the side of the receiver. It will get attached there. The base part looks flat, but it is at a slight angle to clear the top eject. In other words it leans to the left just a bit.

Ok, here's an update. I found a scope like my Uncle has on his Win 94 32. He says that I need to take the rear site off and replace it with a "bracket". I've attached a pic of what my scope looks like and what it should look like mounted. The only missing piece I need is the bracket.
Any ideas?
Thanks again!
