I placed an order with Eric Brooks for a bore guide for my CZ452 two weeks ago, and have since emailed him to ask when I can expect the item to ship.

Nothing yet...
Anyone else order from him before and can give me an idea how long I should wait?

-Thanks

I've ordered several things from Eric Brooks and have waited up til five weeks. I especially liked the trigger kit I got from him. Trigger breaks at 1.5 pounds just like glass. No overtravel no creep.

Hope you enjoy the 452 I sure like mine.

Not exactly lightning-fast service. Since I just ordered the spring kit Sunday, I might as well not waste any time putting my rifle back together. Squirrel season might be halfway over before I get my stuff...

Hopefully, we'll both get lucky and it wont take too much longer.

The website says if it's been over a week to contact him to make sure it's in order, but i haven't gotten a response, give it a try...

Well, I got my spring kit on Saturday, so he seems to be shipping them quickly.

Hope you get your stuff soon.

This is from Eric Brooks on Rimfirecentral, just in case you are still waiting for a response or your order...

"Thanks for the message of support...
First let me apologize for the shortfalls in customer service over the last year.

I am here still and have been avoiding even reading things here. I have had some problems over the last year that have had an impact on what I hope was once excellent customer service. Sometimes it has been difficult just getting the courage to wade through the frustrated (and justly so) e-mails from customers. I have been working through my issues with my doctors but have not gotten much improvement to date.

I was more or less on top of things through August when a family health problem with MRSA occured and kept me away from things for about 2 weeks. MRSA is Methicillin Resistant Staph Aurelius and is something we will all be more familiar with as it is becoming more and more common. Here is a link: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/mrsa/DS00735

I am still dealing with the personal and financial impact of this. I am ok it was my family who bore the impact of the infections. They are either recovered or recovering and are in no immediate danger. It is shocking to see how quickly a healthy person can get sick, how sick you can get, how long it can take to diagnose, and how long it takes to recover. It is often fatal and roughly 1% of the population is carrying this superbug.

I will continue to ship and hopefully more quickly than has been the case recently. I have had difficulty keeping most of the BKL line in stock. They have been inundated with demand and are generally a few weeks behind. My back orders were filled today so some of the orders will ship in the next week.

Again my apologies for the problems over the last year."

I placed an order with him a few days ago. Received an e-mail from him today that everything is shipped, but the bore guides are out of stock for another week or so.
