Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

I represent a group of American Civil War living
historians / reenactors. We regularly recreate the battles of the American Civil War and as such shoot blank ctg. throught replica muskets. Therein lies our problem, we are told Navy Army blew up another plant which produced their musket caps and RWS has slow production.

If anybody knows where we could secure a goodly supply of musket percussion caps, we would greatly appreciate the sharing of this information.

With respect,

Capt. Roger Statzer
Assistant Adjutant General
3rd. Brigade
2nd. Division
Army of Tennessee
C.S.A.

I'll bet you can purchase replacement nipples with the same thread that shoot #11 caps. I don't shoot musket caps, so other than that you could google search it and surely come up with some reasonable deals.

CCI makes musket percussion caps here in Lewiston Idaho. Believe they ship them all over the us. Don't know what suppliers are in Tenn, but might check with a Cabale's if there's one near.

I gotta say that Navy Arms Co. 250 Winged Musket Caps model 2000 have been workin' great for me for many years. I had stock piled them heard they were going to stop making them. I couldn't find them at the website...will post the sie for you to contact via email. http://www.navyarms.com/html/products.html

A German brand Vorderlader Zundhutchen (RSW No. 1081) Winged Musket Caps are very good, but more costly.
Or get the CCI 4 winged musket caps.
