Anyone know what one of these rifles goes for if you can find one? They don't have them listed anymore on Marlins website, so I figure I'll have to buy used if I want one, but it might be cheaper than buying a 336 and having it cut down .....
AND ..... would a full length buttstock fit? Seems like it should .....

I bought one new about three years ago and I believe I paid about $360 for it .

Yes a full size buttstock from an 1894 , 1895 or 336 will fit .
At the moment I have the stock from my 1894FG on my Y .

I got a full-size buttstock from the factory and put it on my Spikehorn. Perfect fit. Great little gun and superbly accurate.

Thanks for the replies. How do they handle, with the short barrel, and full sized butt stock? Any balance issues?
