Will a Williams 5D receiver sight marked "Marlin 36" fit a Marlin 336?

I may have answered my own question..... from Williams website

"5D-94/36 For Winchester 94 Top Eject, 64, 9422;
Marlin 36, 336, 1894, .44 Magnum (Pre-2001)"

Seems it should!! Do you have one with these markings?

It should work if your receiver is drilled & tapped on the side.

The newer 336's are no drilled and tapped. Had to have my cowboy drilled and tapped to install a receiver sight.
