Think I have a better way of marking reloads or new shells for that matter.
Simply colour the "primers only" with a waterproof felt tipped marker.
e,g.  Mostly I use 6 shot -- no colour
      also carry 4 shot    --  colour primer black
      also carry 2 shot    --  X on primer
Spent primer is removed at next reload, leaving a clean case.
You can use colours etc but I find that black shows up better in the dark.
Also works for factory loads and rifle shells to identify loads and bullet weights.
