Having removed the buttstock lever, carrier, bolt, and ejector, what should my next step be for a good cleaning? Nearly 4 years from NIB my CBC .45 had it's first and only two feeding jams today. Carrier had some bad sludge on it despite recent cleaning (I'm blaming the powder ), so other than parts already mentioned, what should I remove/clean etc., and how?

FWIW- the Marlin Jam has been precluded long ago so it's not that.

Thanks for any and all advice.

If you really feel the need to further strip it down, you can remove the hammer spring and hammer, then the trigger housing. This should get you into the guts of the receiver well enough to spray degreaser and wipe clean. You can remove the tube screw at the forward end of the magazine tube and get the end cap plus mag spring and follower out to clean the tube, if you want. Be careful of the spring being under tension and be prepared to catch the flying end cap and spring.

Thanks kdub, I really should patch out the mag. tube, but the thought of getting the spring back in always intimidates me. I'll take the rest of the receiver apart and degrease it all.
