All,
I've got an old Marlin Papoose (P70) that cycles best with CCI Stingers. It has had many many rounds fired through it and has trouble with many types of ammo.
I can't find any information about whether the Stinger is safe to fire in the Papoose.
Any information? Any experience?
Thanks,
Gismo

It should be safe. The only issues with the Stingers is that they are a bit longer than a regular CCI and makes cycling difficult.

Gismo nailed it...the only warnings on Stingers is when being used in tightly (short) chambered match type barrels. Your rifle won't be hurt by using Stingers.
Had a little Krico bolt gun that was chambered not only tight, but chambered short...would engrave 2/3 of the bearing area of a normal .22LR. IF you tried Stingers, and managed to close the bolt, would find the rifling had engraved a little bit of the case...not safe to fire when the bullet has no good way to let go of the case.
the only other Stinger warnings I can remeber were when being used in some European pocket guns. Evidently, some of them had bores that were much too tight and actions much too light.
