Just aquired a 1977 94 30-30 which is in need of front and read sights. Existing are not original. Advice from the old salts?

Welcome to the forum texjam. Might check out Brownell's or Midway. Both have several different sighting systems for the 94's. You can get factory lookalikes to some pretty neat peep systems.

Try e-gunparts.com. Numrich Gun Parts Corp. I had to replace the front sight on my pre-64 94. They carry just about any part you need.

You could go with a Marbles front sight (ivory bead) and maybe a smith flip up ladder sight.
