Hi ! I was just courious if any one has used the 200gr. lbt in the 1894c , And if so what were the results ? Did it shoot ok and was the combination useable for game? I know it would be over kill for just shooting but I like the look of it and think if it was stablized well enough that it would be a good load. Thanks for any help or coments you can give . peeperx

Actually the 200gFNGC bullet makes superb venom in the little .357 carbines. Loaded with 15.2g H110/WSP Primer and Starline or Remington brass this bullet/load combination churns up about 1700 fps out of the 1894C carbines.
Personally, I've used .357 carbines for extensive agricultural depredation work on deer, and have literally taken truck-loads of blacktail deer doing this work over the course of many years. My favorite tool for this purpose was the .357 carbine, as most of the depredation work was in areas of suburban sprawl, and something quiet and efficient was necessary. I found the best balance of bullet weight to velocity was the 185g FNGC for this purpose. When loaded with 16.0g H110/WSP Primer/Starline or Remington brass this load clocks 1860 average from three different carbines we own. It turns the .357 into an efficient game harvesting machine!
Too, one last thought on your bullet selection: make sure that you request .359" bullets for your Marlin 1894C to attain best accuracy. The bores in these guns are somewhat generous, and require the .359"' bullet diameter for optimum performance.
God bless,

Do both the 185gr. and the 200gr. cycle ok in the 1894C action? Thanks
